Neil from British Columbia
Good news. After much frustration, over 5000 gallons of water and two occasions where I got the drill stuck suddenly, finally we have a 74 foot well! Standing water in the case is at 39.5” BTOC.
Probably could have kept going but we were getting low on time and water. Immediately cased the 74’ with 4” self made screen and solid case. We estimated the incoming water around 40 to 55’ range and screened accordingly (40’ of screen and 35’ of solid case on top). Used lots of mud which seemed to somewhat help the cave in situation. We added bleach and pumped sandy water for about 15 hrs over 3 days. The water is clean at about 55’ but still pumping fine sand. Too much sand I think to put in a well pump yet.
By the way, a relative that owns and runs a core drilling company is blown away that we drilled a well with your system!
Thanks so much,
Neil
